Age limits and relaxations change with each notification. Always verify with the official notification PDF from RPSC or RSMSSB before applying or paying the OTR fee.
When a new RPSC or RSMSSB recruitment notification is released, age eligibility is the first filter every candidate must pass. Getting this wrong means filling the entire SSO OTR form and paying the registration fee - Rs 400 to Rs 600 - for an exam you are ineligible for. This calculator eliminates that risk.
Age in Rajasthan government exams is always calculated as on the cut-off date specified in the notification - not the date of the exam or the application submission date. For most RPSC and RSMSSB exams, this cut-off is 1st January of the recruitment year.
Consider a candidate born on 15 June 1986. If the exam cut-off is 1 January 2026, they are 39 years, 6 months, and 16 days old on that date. If the maximum age for General is 40 years, they are eligible. If they were born on 31 December 1985, they are exactly 40 years and 1 day old - and therefore not eligible, even by a single day.
Once this calculator confirms you are within the age limit, your next step is the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the SSO Recruitment Portal. Log in to your SSO ID at sso.rajasthan.gov.in, open the Recruitment Portal, and click OTR. Pay the OTR fee once - Rs 600 for General and Rs 400 for reserved categories - and you can apply to all RPSC and RSMSSB exams in 2026 without paying again.
